!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! had perfect weather for a car show; the skies were clear, the sun bright and beautiful cars were out in strong numbers. This year, not so much. I decided to attend anyway as I knew several people were coming from quite a distance away and would attend rain or shine, and I’m happy I did.

I talked with a BMW tech in attendance for a good 30 minutes or so, as well as the owner of the e24 which had recently been restored and painted a very unique colour, the colour matched wheels were a nice touch as well. A gallery of my photos is below:

The imgur gallery doesn’t work for you? If so, click or tap on the either side of the black window that appears after the page is loaded and the gallery should bring up an image and begin to function. I had this issue on my phone and computer and made it work that way on both.
If that still doesn’t work, here’s a direct link to the imgur page .

Love the stripe. I quite like the mirrored ‘turbo 2002’ on the front valance as well. I questioned if that was the factory motif and it looks like it was:

Old BMWs do take some beating for beautiful proportions on a car. They are just really clean simple designs, even as new as the E34 5 series are really good. then they went slightly melted and its all downhill from there.

I love vintage (pre-1990) BMW. I would love to own a 2002 Turbo or Alpina one day. Hell, add an E9, E30 M3, E24 M6 or 635csi, E28 M5 or M535i to that list as well.

These are beautiful shots!! Makes me miss using my camera and driving classic cars. Thanks, now I’ll be spending way too much $$!!

Thanks! I’ve mostly got the beautiful museum ground and cars to thank for that though, haha. As long as the shots are framed reasonably well and the camera is set properly* the shot usually turns out decently.
*it was in manual mode without me knowing it for the first few minutes so I ended up with some shots out of focus and too dark (the 2002 Turbo shots had to be brightened up a bit to make them work).
I’ve managed to get by with just the camera purchase so far as the kit lens has been plenty versatile. I have considered picking up a prime lens for more depth of field control and a bigger zoom lens for the rare occasion that I’m at a race. It’ll be a slippery slope when that starts, I suspect.
